Our Partners
Delivering End-to-End Capabilities Through Collaboration
We work with a wide range of partners to deliver complex, capital-intensive infrastructure projects focused on carbon and power solutions. Our approach is rooted in flexibility and innovation – whether developing carbon storage, next-gen energy or regional transport solutions, we collaborate to move fast, think bigger, and deliver maximum impact.
Key Partnerships

Carbon Partner

Power Partner
Tailwater Capital
Frontier is a portfolio company of Tailwater Capital. Tailwater is an energy-focused PE firm that brings both financial strength and industry expertise to deliver infrastructure solutions at scale. Other Tailwater portfolio company examples include WTG Energy and Producers Midstream, whom Frontier works regularly alongside to deliver integrated infrastructure solutions.
Baker Hughes
Frontier partnered with Baker Hughes initially to accelerate the development of the Sweetwater Carbon Storage Hub. Now, Frontier and Baker collaborate across both CCS and Power projects.
In 2025, Frontier confirmed the purchase of sixteen NovaLT16 16.9MW turbines from Baker Hughes (270MW total), with slotting for additional turbine orders confirmed. Frontier’s strategic alliance with Baker enables priority access to long-lead items, such as gas turbines and balance of plant infrastructure.

PureWest Energy
PureWest Energy is the largest natural gas producer in Wyoming. Frontier has partnered with PureWest (and Prometheus Hyperscale) to enable carbon-neutral gas power – delivering the reliable energy sustainably.
Prometheus Hyperscale
Prometheus Hyperscale’s mission is to develop sustainable data centers. Using reliable gas power from PureWest, and the carbon capture and storage capabilities of Frontier, Prometheus unlocks carbon-neutral data centers – addressing one of the industry’s toughest challenges.
Gevo Inc.
Frontier joined forces with Gevo, and its Verity platform in 2025 to deliver North America’s first fully integrated carbon management platform for ethanol producers – offering end-to-end tracking from capture, to sequestration and tax credit monetization.
Union Pacific Railroad
Union Pacific’s railroad network connects the Midwest to the West Coast. Frontier and UP are collaborating to make the Wyoming-based Sweetwater Carbon Storage Hub accessible across these regions. Carbon emissions can now be economically transported from hundreds of miles away, to the point of sequestration, using custom railcars designed to transport carbon.
University of Wyoming’s School
of Energy Resources (SER)
of Energy Resources (SER)
In the largest single competitive award in the university’s history, UW received $40.5M in DOE funding to develop a large-scale carbon storage asset in Wyoming, in collaboration with Frontier.
In mid-2025, drilling concluded, and the Frontier-UW collaboration had formed the deepest carbon well in the United States (18,500 ft), with enough underground pore space to store 1 million tons of carbon per year.

Wild Assets
Frontier executed a major offtake agreement with Wild Assets, for up to 120,000 tons of high-quality BECCS carbon removal credits. The agreement utilizes Frontier’s CO2-by-rail capability and permanent storage at the Sweetwater Carbon Storage Hub.
Prismecs
Prismecs is an international EPC and O&M management firm. Frontier Power has partnered with Prismecs to provide an end-to-end power solution, in which Frontier will develop and commission the project, and Prismecs will own the operations. This eliminates the needs for industrial and data center customers to dedicate resources to power, and focus on their core operations.
