Sweetwater Carbon Storage Hub Announced

Plans announced for a basin-scale carbon storage hub across nearly 100,000 acres in Southwest Wyoming.

Sweetwater Permits Filed

Submitted well permits to the Wyoming DEQ for permanent CO2 storage at the Sweetwater Hub.

Union Pacific Partnership

Established strategic partnership with Union Pacific Railroad for transportation infrastructure.

First Class VI UIC Permits in Wyoming Secured

Received the first three Class VI UIC permits issued by the state of Wyoming DEQ, representing the first Class VI permits issued by the state and nearly 20% of the Class VI permits issued nationally.

DOE CarbonSAFE Grant Awarded

Secured $40.5M in federal funding, in partnership with the University of Wyoming, to advance the Sweetwater Hub.

Sweetwater Drilling Begins

Class VI well drilling commenced, marking the start of field operations for the flagship carbon storage hub. The Sweetwater Carbon Storage Hub is now the largest open-field sequestration Hub in North America.

Baker Hughes Partnership & Gas Turbine Acquisition

Acquired 270 MW of gas turbines and formalized the partnership with Baker Hughes to support BTM power generation and CCS deployment.

Prometheus Hyperscale & PureWest Power Partnership Announced

Collaboration announced with plans to deliver zero-carbon power for next-gen data centers using low-carbon gas and biogenic CO2 removal.

Wild Assets Offtake Agreement Signed

Secured purchase agreement for 120,000 tonnes of BECCS-based carbon removal credits — expanding Frontier's presence in the voluntary carbon market.

Sweetwater Well Completed — Deepest in U.S.

Completed drilling of a second deep injection well at the Sweetwater Hub, reaching a depth of 18,437 feet and making it the deepest Class VI carbon storage well in the U.S.
